This week we’re turning our Trainer Spotlight on Dani!

I’m originally from…
New Jersey

I came to New York for/because…
The house I grew up in overlooked the entire NYC skyline and I had to live there. After college, I got a job in the city and moved!

I got into fitness because…
It’s a huge part of my life. Growing up, I played every sport: gymnastics, softball, basketball, karate, competitive cheerleading… I loved it all. After deciding to participate at a collegiate level, there was a huge hole in my life. I worked out by myself, but it wasn’t the same. After moving to the city a friend introduced me to crossfit and I instantly fell in love. After realizing the corporate world wasn’t for me, I followed my passions and become a coach.


I came to teach at CITYROW because…
My boyfriend, Jake, started working at CITYROW. As a lover of fitness (and him), I started taking class regularly. I had been rowing for a while, but saw an immediate improvement from dialing in on my form. I fell in love with the people and environment: I’m so excited to be part of this crew.

I love rowing because…
It’s an incredible workout for anyone! It’s low impact, which is great, and works your whole body. I am not an endurance athlete, but rowing has helped me push past boundaries and boosted my endurance.


My teaching style is…
Fun, relatable, and helpful!


You should take my class because…
I guarantee you will leave a better rower than when you came in AND you will have fun doing it! You will work hard push through boundaries you didn’t think you could in a stress-free environment. I tell jokes and also like to share my own personal journey with you.

My music is…
I love mashups and throw backs, but I like to mix it up. I love finding the perfect song to pump you up just at the right time to push you through your hardest part of your workout.

CITYROW has changed me…
By educating me, not only on the rower, but overall, as an athlete. I have really learned how to effectively engage my core on and off the rower.


If I could have one celebrity take my class it would be…
Carole Radiziwill from Real Housewives of New York. She is my ultimate girl crush! She just ran the NYC Marathon and I would love to be a part of her fitness journey.

I fuel up before and after class with…
I make sure I’m hydrated! And peanut butter protein balls have been my favorite.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me…
At the gym squeezing in my own workouts, or with my boyfriend Jake, our friends, and our families.
